Refund & Cancellation

This Refund & Cancellation Policy is published in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. We are committed to fair and transparent handling of all refund and cancellation requests.
Section 01
Subscription Cancellations
  • Cancel before renewal: Cancel at least 24 hours before your next billing date to avoid the next charge. Access continues until end of current period.
  • Cancel after renewal: Cancellation takes effect at end of the newly-billed period. Access continues until then.
  • How to cancel: Account → Settings → Subscription → Cancel. Or email founder@practixhub.com with your registered email and subscription details.

Cancellation does not delete your account. Request account deletion separately.

Section 02
Refund Eligibility
  • Technical failure: If you cannot access subscribed features due to a platform error unresolved within 72 hours of a reported complaint, you are entitled to a full refund for that billing period.
  • Duplicate charge: If your payment method is charged twice for the same period, the duplicate is fully refunded within 7 business days of verification.
  • Unauthorised transaction: Verified unauthorised transactions are refunded after investigation, per RBI guidelines.
  • Marketplace non-delivery: If a lawyer fails to deliver a confirmed service, the escrow-held client payment is refunded in full.
Section 03
Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be provided for:

  • Change of mind after subscription activation
  • Partial use of features during a billing period
  • Failure to cancel before an auto-renewal (unless qualifying under Section 2)
  • Account termination due to Terms violations
  • Dissatisfaction with legal advice quality (handled via dispute resolution)
  • Requests made more than 30 days after the original transaction
  • GST amounts — these are statutory and cannot be refunded
Section 04
Marketplace Transaction Refunds
  • Cancellation >24 hours before service: Full refund of escrow amount, minus payment gateway processing fees.
  • Cancellation <24 hours before service: Up to 25% cancellation fee at lawyer's discretion as compensation for reserved time.
  • Lawyer no-show / cancellation: Full refund of escrow amount within 5–7 business days.
  • Disputed service quality: Handled through Practix mediation. Refund decisions are at Practix's discretion after reviewing evidence. Decision is final.
Section 05
How to Request a Refund
  1. Email founder@practixhub.com with subject: "Refund Request — [Your Registered Email]"
  2. Include: full name, registered email, transaction ID, date, amount, and reason.
  3. Attach supporting documentation (error screenshots, booking confirmation, etc.)
  4. Or call +91 80786 53792 (Mon–Sat, 9 AM–6 PM IST)

We acknowledge within 24 hours and resolve within 7 business days.

Refunds are processed to the original payment method only.

If your refund has not appeared within these timeframes, please check with your bank before contacting us. Bank processing delays are outside our control.
Section 07
Disputes

If dissatisfied with our refund decision, you may escalate to our Grievance Officer. Unresolved disputes may be taken to the relevant Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or to the National Consumer Helpline (1800-11-4000).
